Colton Helfrecht, Founder/CEO

Colton is the founder and CEO of Sew House.  A former farm-boy and leather enthusiast, Colton left the small town ranch life in 2006 to move to Portland, Oregon and pursue a career in fashion.  In 2015 he launched his namesake luxury handbag line, COLTY, with the goal of bringing American made luxury handbags and accessories to the global marketplace.

Colton started SEW HOUSE with the goal of bringing 100% of his company's production in house and to reunite domestic sewn product manufacturing with luxury grade product design and development. Consulting for brands both new and established, Colton and his team are successfully working to bring made in the U.S.A. quality and craftsmanship to the Pacific Northwest and beyond. 

Colton holds a Bachelor's Degree in Handbag & Accessory Design from the Art Institute of Portland.

The SEW HOUSE Team

We are a team of creatives made up of apparel designers, stylists, artists, jewelry makers, sculptors, and leatherworkers, all active in the fashion industry. We were born with a natural urge to create and make things with our hands. Designing, cutting, sewing and making is our creative outlet, and we enjoy spending the day working together, doing something that we love.

MOKO The Shop Dog

Moko is our 5 year old mini-weenie shop dog who’s living the city dog life. No manners and hardly house broke, but loves to cuddle burrowed deep under a pile of blankets. His two favorite past times are sleeping and chasing birds. Always underfoot to provide moral support at a moments notice.
